In response to the alarming escalation in xenophobia and bigotry resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the center tracks and responds to incidents of hate, violence, harassment, discrimination, shunning, and child bullying against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. Their approach recognizes that in order to effectively address anti-Asian racism we must work to end all forms of structural racism leveled at Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color.

Hate Is A Virus is a nonprofit community of mobilizers and amplifiers that exists to dismantle racism and hate.  It was started as a movement in April 2020 in response to the rise in hate crimes against AAPI due to the pandemic. 

 

ASIAN WOMEN LEAD https://www.imreadymovement.org/

AAPI Women Lead and  #ImReady Movement aims to strengthen the progressive political and social platforms of Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the US through the leadership of self-identified AAPI women and girls.  Their goal is to challenge and help end the intersections of violence against and within AAPI communities and to do this work in solidarity with other communities of color.

 

ASIAN AMERICAN RACIAL JUSTICE TOOLKIT https://www.asianamtoolkit.org/

This toolkit reflects our analysis of the interconnectedness of issues and constituencies within the structures of white supremacy and includes 15 modules spanning Asian American Identity, Model Minority Myth, Gender & Patriarchy, White Supremacy, Race & Working Class + Immigrant Struggles, For Black Lives, Colonialism, & Islamo-Racism.
